There are many parks and trails in and near the Riverside District, allowing leisure and play to fit easily in the lives of its residents. Hiking and biking trails, tennis courts and fitness facilities are within walking distance in and near the District. Beautiful Hermann Park, just outside of the District, offers picnicking, boating, outdoor performances, the zoo and canoeing as well as a recently redesigned golf course and with stunning views of the city. Brays Bayou to the north side of the district offers trails and a green belt that gently meanders along its banks.
When it comes to outdoor recreation and play, there may be no better urban amenities than those found near the Riverside District.
